Transportation Precautions for Activated Carbon
1. Avoid mixing activated carbon with sharp or hard materials during transportation to prevent crushing of the activated carbon particles due to stepping or severe vibrations, which may affect the quality.
2. As activated carbon has a rich pore structure and is an adsorbent, it is absolutely necessary to prevent water immersion during transportation, storage, and use. Water immersion can fill the pores of activated carbon with a large amount of water, rendering it ineffective.
3. Prevent the mixture of tar-like substances during use to avoid blocking the pores of the activated carbon, which would render it ineffective. Before using activated carbon, check if the adsorbent material contains tar.
4. Prevent direct contact between activated carbon and fire sources to avoid ignition. During the regeneration heating process of activated carbon, avoid contact with oxygen. The operation should only continue after the temperature has cooled below 80℃ post-regeneration. Prevent the activated carbon from spontaneously combusting due to excessive temperature.
When purchasing activated carbon, choose activated carbon with different parameters based on your specific use.
