THKGuideway - World Standard HSR Type
Steel balls roll along the HSR track and slider, which feature four precision-ground rolling surfaces; the ball rows are made to cycle through the assembly of end cover plates on the slider. The HSR sliders are held in place by retaining plates, so the balls will not fall off even if the slider is pulled out of the track (except for HSR 8, 10, and 12 models).
To ensure that all four operating directions (radial, counter-radial, and lateral) on the slider have the same rated load, the steel ball rows are designed to be configured at a contact angle of 45°, allowing use in any posture. Furthermore, due to the equal application of pre-load, it maintains a low friction coefficient while also enhancing the rigidity in all four directions. Additionally, with a low cross-sectional height and a high rigidity design for the slider, stable high-precision linear motion is achieved.
【4-way equal load】
To ensure that all four operational directions (radial, counter-radial, and lateral) on the slider have the same rated load, each row of steel balls is designed to be arranged at a contact angle of 45°. This allows for universal use in any position, with a wide range of applications.
High-Rigidity Type
Due to the configuration of the steel balls arranged in a well-balanced 4-column pattern, they can exert sufficient pre-pressure and easily enhance rigidity in all four directions.
【Automatic Centering Ability】
Due to THK's unique front combination of arc grooves (DF combination), which boasts self-aligning capabilities, it can absorb installation errors even with applied preload, resulting in high-precision, smooth, and stable linear motion.
Excellent durability
Even under pre-tension or biased load, the differential sliding of steel balls is suppressed to a low level, ensuring long-term maintenance of high wear resistance and precision.
Also available in stainless steel models.
HSR sliders, guides, and steel balls can also be made of stainless steel.
Radial Clearance (Preload Grade):
Due to the radial clearance of linear guides affecting their accuracy, load-bearing capacity, and rigidity, it is crucial to select the appropriate clearance based on the application. Generally speaking, considering the vibrations and impacts that may occur during reciprocating motion, choosing a negative clearance (i.e., applying pre-load) can positively impact both service life and precision.
All linear guide rail models (excluding the split-type HR, GSR, and GSR-R types) have been pre-adjusted to the specified clearance before shipment, thus eliminating the need for additional preload adjustments.
Pre-compression (pre-load) refers to the internal load applied beforehand to the rolling elements (steel balls, rollers), with the purpose of improvingTHK SliderThe rigidity.
