Cash Register Paper, as the name implies, refers to the roll of paper used in cash registers to record sales details. It is primarily used to provide customers with a detailed shopping receipt and can be replaced after use.

The general material for cash register paper is suitable for the printing components inside cash registers. For standard dot matrix printers, ordinary 1-3-layer printing paper can be used for printing; for thermal head printers, only thermal printing paper can be used. Standard dot matrix printers require the use of ribbon and cash register paper as printing consumables. Thermal head printers can print only by using thermal printing paper, without any additional auxiliary consumables.

Standard cash register paper and carbonless cash register paper are produced using double-coated paper. The quality of the cash register paper entirely depends on the quality of the double-coated paper used. To achieve better performance, first inspect the material; white, clean paper without impurities is typically made from wood pulp, resulting in better tensile strength and a neat appearance. Papers made with mixed pulp or straw pulp often have spots and are visibly weaker in tensile strength, prone to breaking during printing. Smoothness is also a factor; smoother cash register paper reduces printer head wear and yields better printing results.
