(1) Fire resistance rating verified internationally at the UL level:

There are two methods for UL verification: one is UL94 HB, which is a horizontal burn test method; the other is UL-94V0, V1, V2, V5, which is a vertical burn test standard. (1) UL94 HB: Horizontal Burn

This type of plastic can ignite gradually but does not self-extinguish. These types fall under UL's lower grade, often used only when vertical V0, V1, or V2 methods are difficult to achieve.

(2) UL94 V0, V1, V2, V5: Under the vertical burning flame retardancy classification system of UL, the following applies: UL94 V0 certification method: After the flame is removed from the ignited sample, it can quickly self-extinguish within a certain time interval without any flaming droplets igniting (in other words, the flaming droplets falling onto the cotton wick pad located one foot below the test sample should not ignite the wick). The UL94 V1 certification method is similar to V0, but it requires a longer self-extinguishing time. This test allows flaming droplets to fall onto the cotton pad but should not ignite the wick. UL94 V2, like V1, only allows flaming droplets to ignite the wick one foot below!

UL94 V5 is a stringent testing method that involves the specific burn life of plastic products in flames. The test specifies a flame length of 5 inches, with five ignitions of the test sample, during which no molten drips are allowed to fall, and no significant deformation of the test sample is permitted.
