Irreversible (Type I), reversible (Types II, III) spiral plate heat exchangers
Application
Spiral plate heat exchangers are suitable for industries such as chemicals, petrochemicals, food, solvents, light industry, textiles, metallurgy, rolling steel, and coking.
Suitable for gas-gas, gas-liquid, and liquid-liquid heat transfer convection, waste heat recovery, and also applicable to steam condensation and liquid evaporation heat transfer.
Structure and Features
1. This equipment is made up of two rolls, forming two even spiral channels. The two heat transfer mediums can flow in a fully counter-current manner, significantly enhancing the heat exchange efficiency. Even with two mediums of small temperature differences, it can achieve ideal heat exchange results.
2. The branch connections on the housing feature a tangential structure, minimizing local resistance. Due to the uniform curvature of the helical channels, there is no significant direction change of the liquid flow within the equipment, resulting in low total resistance. Consequently, the design flow rate can be increased to enhance its heat transfer capacity.
3. The end faces of the spiral channels in the Type I non-detachable spiral plate heat exchanger are sealed with welding, thus offering high sealing integrity.
4. The structural principle of the Type II removable spiral plate heat exchanger is essentially the same as that of the non-removable type, but one channel can be disassembled for cleaning, particularly suitable for heat exchange with sticky or sediment-containing liquids.
5. The Type I removable spiral plate heat exchanger operates on the same principle as non-removable heat exchangers, but its two channels can be disassembled for cleaning, making it suitable for a wider range of applications.
6. Spiral plate heat exchangers are divided by nominal pressure into PNO.6, 1.0, 1.6, and 2.5MPa (indicating the max working pressure a single channel can withstand). They can also be categorized by material into carbon steel and stainless steel. Users can select according to their actual process requirements.
