Fire-resistant windows refer to windows, including their frames, that can meet the requirements for fire resistance stability and integrity within a specified period. When there is insufficient fire separation between the exterior walls of two buildings, or between spaces separated by fire walls, and there is a need for lighting and ventilation, fire-resistant windows should be used.

Fire Window Categories:
Fixed Fire Window: A fire-resistant window without an operable sash.

Operable fire-resistant window: A fire-resistant window with an operable sash and a window sash opening/closing control device.

Insulating Fire Windows (Type A): Fire-resistant windows that meet both the fire integrity and insulating requirements within the specified time.

Fire-resistant windows are made of steel and are available in two types: Class A (fire resistance of 1.20h) and Class B (fire resistance of 0.90h).

Fire-resistant windows are primarily used in fire-resistant walls of high-rise buildings, requiring the use of Class A fire-resistant windows that can close automatically.

If the horizontal distance between doors and windows adjacent to the fire-resistant wall is less than 2 meters, Class B fire-resistant windows should be used.

In addition to residential buildings, kitchens in other structures should be equipped with Class B fire-resistant windows.

One and two-level fire-resistant building vestibules should use Class B fire-resistant windows when openings are made in the partition walls.
