Fire-resistant windows refer to windows, including their frames, that can meet the requirements for fire resistance stability and integrity within a specified period. When there is insufficient fire separation between the exterior walls of two buildings, or between spaces separated by fire partitions, and there is a need for lighting and ventilation, fire-resistant windows should be used.
Fireproof Window Categories:
Fixed Fire Window: A fire-resistant window without an operable sash.
Operable fire window: A fire-resistant window with operable sash and a control device for opening and closing the sash.
Insulating Fire Windows (Type A): Fire-resistant windows that meet both the integrity and insulating requirements within the specified time.

Window Selection for Fire Resistance
Fire-resistant windows are made of steel, available in two grades: Class A (fire resistance of 1.20h) and Class B (fire resistance of 0.90h).
Fire-resistant windows are primarily used in fire walls of high-rise buildings, requiring the use of Class A fire-resistant windows that can close automatically.
When the horizontal distance between doors and windows near both sides of the fire-resistant wall is less than 2 meters, Class B fire-resistant windows should be used.
In addition to residential buildings, kitchen windows in other structures should be of Grade B fire-resistant.
In openings in the partition walls of corridors in buildings with first or second fire resistance ratings, fire-resistant windows of grade B should be used.
