Fire-resistant windows refer to windows, including their frames, that can meet the requirements for fire resistance stability and integrity within a specified period. They should be used on the exterior walls of two buildings where the fire separation distance is insufficient, or between spaces separated by fire partitions, when natural lighting and ventilation are needed.

Fire-resistant window categories:
Fixed Fire Window: A fire window without an operable sash.

Operable fire window: A fire-resistant window with an opening sash and equipped with a sash opening and closing control device.

Insulating Fire Windows (Type A): Fire-resistant windows that meet both fire resistance integrity and thermal insulation requirements within specified time.

Fire-resistant windows are made of steel, available in two grades: Class A (fire resistance of 1.20h) and Class B (fire resistance of 0.90h).

Fire-resistant windows are primarily used in the fire walls of high-rise buildings, and Class A fire-resistant windows capable of automatic closure are required.

When the horizontal distance between doors and windows near both sides of the fire-resistant wall is less than 2 meters, Class B fire-resistant windows should be used.

In addition to residential buildings, kitchen windows in other structures should be of Class B fire-resistant.

When windows are opened in the partition walls of doors of Class 1 and 2 fire-resistant buildings, Class B fire-resistant windows should be used.
