Mint dollar plant
Cu钱草, South American Pennywort, Coin Grass, Round Coin Grass, Shieldleaf Pennywort, Money Lotus.
Lysimachia christinae growth habits
Moneywort is robust, easy to grow, rapidly propagates, and can thrive both in water and on land.
Cu钱 grass thrives in warm and humid conditions, and should be kept in semi-shade for cultivation, avoiding direct sunlight. The soil for cultivation is not restricted, with loose, well-drained soil being ideal, or it can be directly grown in water. The cultivation temperature ranges from 22 to 28 degrees Celsius.
Moneywort doesn't require a large pot; it can also be planted in a larger bowl or a shallow narcissus pot. The soil usually consists of garden soil, mixed with some river sand, and a small amount of organic fertilizer is added as a base fertilizer.
Money Grass fears cold. In winter, if you place it outdoors, empty all the water and keep it in a south-facing, wind-protected spot, it can survive the winter. However, some leaves may gradually wither, and the underground roots will re-grow in spring. In cold northern regions without heating, you can cover it with a canopy, empty the water, and maintain moisture. As long as the room temperature is above 0°C, it will continue to grow next year.
Lucky coin grass symbolism
Cu money grass, with round leaves resembling mini lotus leaves, quite cute, like ancient copper coins, symbolizing reunion and good fortune. The name, with the words "copper" and "money," naturally carries a different meaning: having copper money brings abundant wealth, making it a symbol of prosperity.
