BlenderDetailed Description
Bitumen mixing employs different mixers depending on the type and production process, with varying degrees of mixing intensity required.
1. Modified asphalt agitators are categorized into production reaction and finished product development. During the production process, due to different additives, they are further divided into SBS modified asphalt and rubber modified asphalt. When selecting an agitator, it is crucial to note that rubber modified asphalt has a significantly higher viscosity at the same temperature compared to SBS modified asphalt. The agitators in the production reaction phase require strong shearing and rapid reaction, which demands special attention. Therefore, choosing a high-shear agitator type and a faster rotational speed is essential for ensuring the production reaction. The finished product development tank has much milder requirements for agitation strength. After the production reaction, the material needs a stable development environment. Moreover, the volume of the finished product tank is much larger than that of the production tank, so the agitation in the finished product tank should only ensure normal asphalt flow within the tank, while also avoiding the formation of crusts.
2. Emulsion Asphalt Blender
These types of mixers and modified asphalt mixers have entirely different mixing requirements. Emulsified asphalt requires minimal shear force to prevent demulsification, and also demands a weaker mixing intensity. Consequently, almost all emulsified asphalt mixers offer a very gentle mixing effect, requiring less power. Our company's energy-saving emulsified asphalt mixers not only have low energy consumption but also employ a technique to reduce shear force, providing an edge in preventing demulsification.
