Hexagonal socket bolts offer excellent cost-effectiveness. Their advantage over other welding methods lies in the welding power. Standard hexagonal socket bolts are cost-effective for mass-produced parts. There is a variety of equipment and torches available, with relatively low purchase costs. Depending on the product, multi-position automatic welding machines or high-precision gantry CNC automatic welding machines can be manufactured. Hexagonal socket bolt welding boasts a high quality reproducibility rate and a low scrap rate. However, like other melting welding processes, hexagonal socket bolt welding has certain limitations on the carbon content in steel. For structural steel hexagonal socket bolts, welding should be performed according to the recommended materials and weldability of the hexagonal socket bolts and base material. Otherwise, the hexagonal socket bolts and base material may exhibit non-weldability. Weldability and design requirements for anchor bolt products of hexagonal socket bolt materials and base material combinations outside the recommended range should be determined through testing and related evaluation.
