After printing, the signs can be cut directly or cut and then formed. For signs with high precision size requirements, gapped assembly should be used. Depending on the material and shape of the substrate, the positioning methods for screen printing labels vary. Common methods include the following:

One type is edge positioning. Suitable for straight-edged workpieces, such as: nameplates, panels, various scales, etc., simply place the two right angles of the workpiece tightly against the positioning strips during screen printing.

Two types are edge-positioning. Suitable for screen printing on deformed shaped workpieces, it can affix the outer frame of the workpiece's molding and blanking process after trimming the gaps, positioning it on the platform as needed by the edge-positioning method. During screen printing, simply place the deformed workpiece into the blanking outer frame.

The third type is hole positioning. Hole positioning is suitable for screen printing with the same graphic layout, where pre-drilled positioning holes are made on the plate first. During screen printing, the holes are used for positioning, and the molds are used to shape the workpieces based on these positioning holes.

The fourth method is overlapping positioning, suitable for screen printing on transparent materials. During positioning, the two cases can be screen printed on a board, and a film with the cases printed on it can be overlaid to ensure the same positions on both cases meet the design size requirements. Then, the printed film is securely adhered to the platform. When screen printing the cases, simply align the transparent workpieces with the cases on the platform to achieve the positioning purpose.

3. Mixing of metal wire screen printing inks. The requirements for screen printing inks used on metal wire labels include strong adhesion, good wear resistance, clear graphics after printing, quick drying, and no blocking of the screen. Metal label screen printing inks typically use alkyd, phenolic, and other synthetic resins as binders, mixed with some pigments and additives to create the ink. This ink has good printing properties, drying naturally or by baking for 2 hours at 120℃. The ink film is glossy, has a three-dimensional feel, and has excellent bonding and wear resistance with aluminum plates. The ink film is tested with a JM-1 type film abrasion tester, capable of withstanding over 500 cycles of rubber sandpaper under a load of 7509, and over 5000 cycles with a cloth wheel.

If screen printing colored labels, refer to the color sample of the printing ink for mixing. When adjusting the ink, add an appropriate amount of ink thinner and drying agent. The addition of the ink drying agent should be about 5% to 8% of the total ink volume. Adding too little makes it difficult to dry, while adding too much can affect the adhesion of the ink.

4. Quality requirements for metal wire printing labels. The text, scales, graphics, positioning holes, and colors on the printed labels must conform to the drawings. The finished surface should have no visible scratches or spots, and the adhesion of the ink film should meet the specifications.
