Leak detection refers to the noise produced when water overflows under pressure in supply pipelines. This noise propagates along the pipeline to both sides or along the medium to the ground. Leak detectors pick up this leaking sound and convert it into an electrical signal, then amplify and digitally filter it to determine the location of the leak. This is a traditional method of leak detection using acoustic waves. In an area with a diameter of 2 meters, the corresponding position can be determined through a listening pipe. The heard sound is the noise from the water flowing out after the pipe bursts. Note that due to different materials, the propagation of sound during detection varies slightly for different pipes.。
