Porous roads, as a new type of ecological road, are increasingly attracting attention from the industry. These roads are paved with eco-friendly permeable gravel, allowing rainwater to quickly infiltrate the ground, effectively replenishing groundwater and alleviating the urban heat island effect, thus balancing the city's ecosystem. The permeable surfaces also allow for the passage of "ground qi," keeping the ground warm in winter and cool in summer, facilitating water percolation during the rainy season, and snow melting in winter, enhancing the comfort of urban living. Moreover, due to the high porosity and large surface area of the permeable surfaces, they have a strong adsorption capacity for dust, reducing dust pollution and also lowering noise levels. Basalt slag is particularly suitable for use as high-quality road gravel for permeable paving.
