
2BE Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Operating Principle: The impeller is eccentrically mounted inside the pump casing. As the impeller rotates, water is subjected to centrifugal force, forming a rotating water ring on the inner wall of the pump. The top of the water ring is tangent to the hub and rotates in the direction of the arrow. During the first half of the rotation, the inner surface of the water ring gradually separates from the hub, causing the space between the impeller blades to expand and the pressure to drop, allowing gas to be drawn in. In the second half of the rotation, the inner surface of the water ring gradually approaches the hub, and the space between the blades narrows, increasing the pressure in the space. When the pressure exceeds the exhaust pressure, gas is expelled, creating a vacuum through a cycle of suction and exhaust.
