Brass sculptures are a type of sculpture art. Brass is a popular metal for casting sculptures, often simply referred to as "brass." It can be used individually or in sets for statues, bas-reliefs, and miniatures, as well as elements that can be mounted on furniture and other objects. Standard brass alloys possess an unusual ideal property: they slightly expand before solidifying, filling the mold's fine details. Then, as the brass cools, it contracts slightly, making it easier to separate from the mold. When creating moving figures, their strength and ductility (non-fracture) are an advantage.
