Ring Gauges, also known as Calibration Rings, are circular rings with specific dimensions and properties used to correct deficiencies in measuring instruments.

Ring gauges are used as limit gauges for shafts, primarily for measuring shafts or other external dimensions with tolerance grades of 1T6 to 1T16. They cannot inspect parts machined on the positive tip or crankshafts, thus their application range is limited.
