Narrow alleyway shelf operation principle:
The racking system is a beam racking system, distinguished by the addition of action guides for "three-way forklifts" at the bottom of the shelves. The guides are typically made of unequal angle steel. The forklifts limited to material handling are the "three-way forklifts." These forklifts glide along the established guides. The stacking aisles of the racking system are slightly wider than the width of the pallet goods, enabling high-density storage. It also inherits all the advantages of the beam racking system, with all materials stored in the system being optional, allowing forklifts to store any pallet at any time. The rapid storage efficiency and very high storage density bring significant productivity and cost benefits to storage and logistics centers suitable for narrow-aisle racking systems.
Narrow aisle racking application range:
If the storage or logistics center possesses the following characteristics, consider opting for narrow aisle racking systems:
Large inventory storage with frequent goods in and out, and high selection requirements for the goods.
2. Urgently need to increase storage space or require a certain level of storage capacity in the warehousing and logistics center.
3. Logistics efficiency is required at a high level.
4. The warehouse has a high usable net height, exceeding 8M.
5. Forklifts can be selected with independent warehouse forklifts; there is no plan to use warehouse forklifts to perform other tasks outdoors.
Narrow Aisle Rack Features:
The narrow-aisle shelving feature is that the aisles are much narrower than those of traditional beam shelving, typically around 1600mm-2000mm wide, significantly enhancing the space utilization of warehouses. With soaring real estate prices, narrow-aisle shelving is favored by many corporate warehouses. This type of shelving requires a specialized forklift—a three-way stacker—another of its unique features. Due to the narrow aisles, it demands skilled operators with proficient driving skills and careful attention to detail in their daily work.
Next, after the narrow aisle racking is installed, there is a guide rail approximately 200mm high (the guide rail can be prepared during the construction or can be used with pre-fabricated guardrails during installation) as the forklift guidance system, reducing the risk caused by human factors to the racks, which requires less from the forklift driver compared to drive-in racks.
