I. Overview of Reverse Osmosis Systems
Natural water contains a high amount of impurities, making a pretreatment system before reverse osmosis indispensable. A well-designed pretreatment system not only ensures the long-term stable operation of subsequent equipment but also operates safely for an extended period. The choice of pretreatment depends on the water quality and may include multi-media filters, activated carbon filters, filters, softeners, iron and manganese removal filters, and disc filters, among others.
1. Multi-Media Filter
Process Features: Multi-media filters, also known as mechanical filters, primarily intercept physical impurities in water, removing suspended matter, solid particles, and some colloidal substances.
Materials include: fiberglass, carbon steel (with internal anti-corrosion), and stainless steel SUS304 (lined with rubber for anti-corrosion), capable of meeting the production and process requirements of various industries.
Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic (with automatic control valves, pneumatic valve groups, and electric valve groups, etc.).
Model and Specifications: FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) Specification NCHJL-B-200-1500. Filter diameter ranges from 200-1500mm.
Carbon steel, stainless steel SUS304, specification NCHJL-T-200-3000. Filter diameter from 200-3000mm.
Based on your actual water usage, we will assist you in selecting the appropriate specifications and materials.
2. Active Carbon Filter
Process Features: Activated carbon filters are primarily used to adsorb color, taste, residual chlorine, organic matter, and colloidal substances in water; they also help filter out large particles. They can be equipped with pasteurization to extend the lifespan of the activated carbon, reducing bacterial growth during the production process.
Materials include: fiberglass, carbon steel (with internal anti-corrosion), and stainless steel SUS304 (lined with rubber for anti-corrosion), catering to various industry production and process requirements.
Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic (including automatic control valves, pneumatic valve groups, and electric valve groups, etc.).
Model and Specifications: Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) specification NCHTL-B-200-1500. Filter diameter ranges from 200-1500mm.
Carbon steel, Stainless Steel SUS304 specification NCHJL-T-200-3000. Filter diameter: 200-3000mm.
3. Demineralizer
Process Features: The softener, also known as a sodium ion exchange unit, effectively removes Ca2+ and Mg2+ from the water during the production process, reducing water hardness. This prevents the formation of carbonate and sulfate scale in the water, allowing for resin regeneration and reuse. The softener can be used for softening boiler water and as a pretreatment for reverse osmosis.
Materials include: fiberglass, carbon steel (internally coated for corrosion resistance), and stainless steel SUS304 (lined with rubber for corrosion resistance), capable of meeting the production and process requirements of various industries.
Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic (including automatic control valves, pneumatic valve groups, and electric valve groups, etc.).
Model and Specifications: Glass fiber specification NCHTL-B-200-1500. Filter diameter ranges from 200-1500mm.
Carbon steel, stainless steel SUS304, specification NCHJL-T-200-3000. Filter diameter: 200-3000mm.
4. Filter Cartridge Housing
Process Features: The filter, also known as fine filtration in the water system, is typically achieved by a 5µm aperture polypropylene (PP) membrane formed through meltblowing. Fine filtration is a pre-treatment process before the water enters the reverse osmosis membrane. Its function is to prevent any leakage from the previous filtration stage, ensuring the long-term normal operation of the reverse osmosis system.
