The Acrel-3000 Energy Management System is typically designed with a layered distributed architecture, including the field equipment layer, network communication layer, and station control management layer.

On-site equipment level

The field equipment layer primarily consists of various types of instruments connected to the network for the collection and measurement of electrical parameters, and is an essential basic component necessary for constructing the power distribution system. It bears the heavy responsibility of data collection.

Network Communication Layer

The network communication layer is primarily composed of communication servers, interface conversion devices, and bus networks. This layer serves as the bridge for data information exchange, with different interface conversion devices offering various interfaces such as RS232, RS422, RS485, SPABUS, and Ethernet. Network configurations are flexible, supporting point-to-point communication, fieldbus networks, and Ethernet-based network topologies.

Station Control Management

The station control management layer is responsible for the management of the power distribution network, directly facing users. This layer also constitutes the upper part of the system, primarily consisting of energy management system software and necessary hardware equipment such as computers, printers, and UPS units.

Real-time monitoring

The system features a user-friendly human-machine interface, displaying the operation status of the power distribution lines in a clear distribution primary diagram format. It real-time monitors electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power, power factor, and electrical energy for each circuit. It dynamically supervises the switching states of circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, and ground switches for each power distribution circuit, as well as relevant fault and alarm signals.



Electricity Statistics Report

The system supports the integrity of the metering system with a wealth of reports. It features a scheduled meter reading and summary statistics function, allowing users to freely query the power consumption status of all distribution nodes within any time period since the system's normal operation. This includes the statistical analysis report of the power consumption from the incoming lines at each node and the power consumption of various branch circuits. This function makes power consumption visible and transparent, and enables analysis and traceability in cases of significant power consumption errors, ensuring the accuracy of the metering system.



Detailed Electrical Parameter Inquiry

In the primary distribution diagram, when the mouse cursor is moved near each loop, it changes to a hand shape. A single mouse click allows you to view detailed electrical parameters of the loop, including three-phase current, three-phase voltage, total active power, total reactive power, total power factor, and forward active energy. Additionally, you can view the 24-hour phase current trend curve and the 24-hour voltage trend curve.



Operation Report

The system features real-time and historical power parameter storage and management capabilities. All real-time collected data, sequential event logs, etc., can be saved to the database. Users can customize the parameters, time, or select recent updated records for querying in the search interface, and the results are displayed through reports. Users can tailor daily and monthly reports as needed, support exporting in Excel format, and can also export in PDF format upon request.



Transformer Operation Monitoring

The system monitors the operating status of the main power supply lines, main transformers, and critical load outputs in real-time, displaying trends such as current, transformer operating temperature, active power demand, active power, apparent power, and transformer load factor with curves. This analysis of transformer load factor and losses facilitates the timely understanding of operational levels and power demand by maintenance personnel, ensuring safe and reliable power supply.



Real-time alert

The system features real-time alarm capabilities, enabling it to monitor events such as remote signaling changes in distribution circuit breakers, isolating switches, grounding knives, and their opening/closing actions, protective operations, fault trips, as well as over-limit conditions of voltage, current, power, and power factor. The system issues alarms based on the severity of events. Upon an alarm, a real-time alert window automatically pops up, accompanied by an auditory or voice alert.



Historical Event Inquiry

The system can store and manage records of events such as remote signal changes, protective actions, trip due to accidents, as well as overlimits of voltage, current, power, and power factor, facilitating users in tracing historical system events and alarms, querying statistics, and conducting accident analysis.



Power Quality Monitoring

The system continuously monitors the power quality within the entire distribution system. Operation and maintenance personnel can utilize harmonic analysis bar graphs and reports to grasp the voltage, current harmonic distortion rates, harmonic content, and voltage unbalance levels of incoming lines, transformers, and critical circuits. This enables timely implementation of corresponding measures to reduce harmonic losses and minimize abnormal conditions and accidents caused by harmonics (This feature requires an optional power meter with harmonic monitoring capabilities; it can be deleted if not needed.).



Remote Control Operation

The system supports remote control operations for separating and closing circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, and grounding knives. It features strict password protection and operational permission management functions. For each remote operation, the system automatically generates operation records, including the operator, operation time, and operation type. To enable this function, the circuit breaker itself must have an electric actuator, and the protective and monitoring control device must be equipped with remote control capabilities.



User Permission Management

The system is equipped with user permission management to ensure secure and stable operation. User permission management prevents unauthorized operations (such as modifying distribution loop names). Different levels of user login names, passwords, and operational permissions can be defined, providing reliable security for system operation, maintenance, and management.



Communication Status Diagram

The system supports real-time monitoring of communication statuses of all devices connected to the system, fully displaying the entire system's network structure. It allows for online diagnostics of device communication statuses, and can automatically display faulty devices or components, along with their malfunctioning parts, on the interface in case of network anomalies. This facilitates the operation and maintenance staff in real-time oversight of the communication statuses of all devices on-site, enabling timely maintenance of devices experiencing issues, and ensuring the stable operation of the system.
