400-700AR Anti-Reflective Coating
When light travels from a rarer to a denser medium, the reflected light experiences a half-wavelength loss. After applying an anti-reflective (AR) coating on glass, the reflected light on the surface is exactly half a wavelength out of phase compared to the light before the coating. This results in the cancellation of the reflected light between the two surfaces of the thin film, effectively increasing the energy of the transmitted light. Additionally, coating both sides of the glass simultaneously can reduce the reflectivity on both surfaces. Since AR glass uses magnetron sputtering coating technology, the materials sputtered are nanoscale atom movements forming a transparent optical film system. As shown in the actual photo above, it is evident that glass with the anti-reflective coating is more transparent, whereas ordinary glass exhibits a significant reflective effect.
