This enhances the fatigue resistance of the workpiece, increases adhesion between it and the coating, extends the durability of the coating, and is also beneficial to the leveling and decorative aspects of the paint.
Precautions for sandblasting rust removal:
1. Protective gear must be worn before starting work and arms should not be exposed. At least two people must be present during work.
2. Storage tanks, pressure gauges, and safety valves should be regularly calibrated. Dust should be released from the storage tank once every two weeks, and the filter in the sand tank should be inspected monthly. 3. Check if the ventilation管道 and sandblasting machine door are sealed. The ventilation and dust removal equipment must be activated five minutes before work starts. If the ventilation and dust removal equipment fails, the sandblasting machine is prohibited from operating.
4. Gradually open the compressed air valve; the pressure must not exceed 0.8 MPa.
5. The grit size of sandblasting should match the work requirements, generally ranging between No. 10 to No. 20, and the sand should be kept dry.
6. Keep unauthorized personnel away from the sandblasting machine during operation. Stop the machine before cleaning or adjusting moving parts.
7. Do not use compressed air to blow dust off your body or for pranks.
After work, the ventilation and dust removal equipment should continue to operate for five minutes before turning off to expel indoor dust and maintain cleanliness of the site.
9. In the event of personal or equipment accidents, maintain the scene and report to the relevant departments.
