Couplings, also known as couplings, are mechanical components used to firmly connect the driving and driven shafts of different mechanisms for simultaneous rotation, while transmitting motion and torque. Most commonly used couplings are standardized or dimensioned. Generally, it is only necessary to correctly select the type of coupling, determine the model and size. In case of necessity, load capacity calculations for the vulnerable weak points can be performed. When operating at high speeds, centrifugal forces on the outer edge and deformation of the elastic elements must also be calculated, and balance checks should be conducted.
