Oil and gas separator, a device that separates crude oil and associated natural gas produced from oil wells. The separator is placed between the submersible centrifugal pump and the protector, separating free gas from the well fluid and sending the liquid to the submersible centrifugal pump, while the gas is released into the annular space between the oil pipe and casing.
The oil-gas separator is an essential component of the submersible electric pump system. Its primary function is to act as the intake for the oil and gas entering the multi-stage centrifugal pump. Secondly, it separates free gas from the well fluid before the mixed fluid enters the multi-stage centrifugal pump, thereby reducing the impact of gas on the working characteristics of the submersible electric pump and preventing cavitation and gas locking in the centrifugal pump, ensuring the normal operation of the multi-stage centrifugal pump.
