Manufactured using new technology routes. Upon exposure to fire, it expands and foams, forming a spongy carbonized layer that blocks heat transfer to the base material, thereby protecting the steel structural substrate from softening and collapse for a certain period of time.
Application Scope
Super-thin steel structural fire-retardant coating is widely used for fire protection of large-scale industrial and mining steel structures, as well as the main steel structures of various stadiums and exhibition halls.
Features
1. The application temperature for ultra-thin steel structural fire-retardant paint is between 0℃ and 50℃, with a relative humidity of ≤85%. Multiple applications should be carried out sequentially based on the curing status of the coating (avoid rain and excessive sun exposure during application). The coating thickness is determined by fire protection specifications.
2. Prior to use, clean the substrate of any oil, dirt, and ensure compatibility between the rust-preventive paint on the substrate surface and the fire-retardant coating.
3. Application methods include brushing, spraying, or rolling. Thoroughly mix before use. For large-scale applications, a professional crew is required. Details can be found in the Construction Operation Manual.
4. After opening, please use up the fire-resistant coating for thin steel structures in one go; any remaining coating must be resealed tightly.
5. All solvents in ultra-thin steel structure fire-retardant paint are flammable. Ensure good ventilation during application and strictly prohibit any open flames.
Storage
Ultra-thin steel structural fire-retardant coating must be stored in a cool and dry place, strictly prohibited from high temperatures and fire, with an effective storage period of one year.
