Ceramic plunger pumps are a type of reciprocating pump, classified as volume pumps. Their plungers are driven by the eccentric rotation of the pump shaft, executing reciprocating motion. Both the suction and discharge valves are one-way valves. When the plunger is pulled outward, the pressure inside the cylinder decreases, closing the discharge valve, and when it falls below the inlet pressure, the inlet valve opens, allowing the liquid in. Conversely, when the plunger is pushed inward, the cylinder pressure rises, closing the inlet valve, and when it exceeds the discharge pressure, the discharge valve opens, expelling the liquid. As the drive shaft rotates the cylinder, the incline plate pulls the plunger out of or pushes it back into the cylinder, completing the oil suction and discharge process.
