The straw shredder is mainly used for the cutting and processing of crop straw, branches with a diameter of less than 5 cm, and inferior plant straw. It can also be used for the cutting of various crop straws and forage. The complete set of this machine is mainly used for the cutting processing of biomass such as cotton stalks, bark, branches, corn stalks, wheat straw, and straw. The finished products can be used for power generation, papermaking, plywood production, and the extraction of ethanol.
The straw shredder is suitable for shredding various plants with a growth period of one year, such as cotton, corn stalks, eggplants, chili seedlings, etc. The shredding length can be customized according to customer requirements. The shredded agricultural plant residues can be used to produce organic fertilizer, fuel, particleboard, paper, and other materials for various industries. This equipment transforms many originally unsalable green waste into valuable resources, realizing new economic value. It also protects the environment, improves soil quality, and creates positive social benefits.
Operational Tips for Straw Crushing Machines
(1) The straw chopper should be securely mounted on the ground, which can be anchored with cement. If the working location changes frequently, the chopper and motor should be mounted on a base made of angle iron.
(2) After installation, carefully inspect to ensure all components are properly seated and check for any loose fittings. Verify that the motor shaft and the crusher shaft are parallel, and also inspect the tension of the drive belt to ensure it is appropriate.
(3) Prior to operation, manually rotate the rotor to check for smooth operation, any collision inside the housing, correct rotation direction, and ensure the motor and grinder are properly lubricated.
(4) Avoid frequent replacement of wheels to prevent over- or under-speeding.
(5) After equipment startup, it should be idled for 2 to 3 minutes before feeding materials, ensuring no abnormal phenomena occur.
(6) The feed of the straw shredder must be even. If any noises, excessive temperature of the bearing and the body, or material being ejected outward are detected, the machine should be immediately stopped for inspection and troubleshooting.
(7) Users should carefully inspect materials before operation to prevent hard objects such as metal and stones from entering the destruction room and causing accidents.
(8) During feeding, the operator should stand beside the straw shredder to prevent injury from flying debris. When shredding long stems, do not grip the hands too tightly to avoid being pulled in.
(9) Prior to shutdown, stop the feeding first, and then clean the material inside the machine before cutting off the power to stop. After shutdown, cleaning and maintenance should be conducted.
(10) After 300 hours of equipment operation, the bearings must be cleaned and the engine oil replaced; when refilling the oil, it's best to fill it to 1/3 of the bearing seat's capacity, with a maximum of not exceeding 1/2. When the equipment is to be idle for a long period, the drive belt should be removed.
