Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) covers are a type of cover made from GFRP. While it may not match the compressive strength of certain metal covers, its corrosion resistance is significantly superior. In terms of load-bearing capacity, it far outperforms wooden and plastic covers.
Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Cover Performance:
1. Durable and slip-resistant: The manufacturing process includes anti-slip and wear-resistant treatments, offering superior performance compared to standard metal, wooden, and plastic covers.
2. Excellent sealed performance and high safety factor: Compared to metal lids with poor corrosion resistance or wooden lids with weaker materials, it boasts superior sealing capabilities. Additionally, it features non-conductive and non-heat-conducting properties among many others.
3. Strong heat resistance and flame retardancy: Carbon fiber products all have excellent flame retardant properties, primarily due to the raw material used in their manufacturing – epoxy resin. Although there are various types of epoxy resin, each one possesses the inherent property of heat resistance.
4. Excellent anti-aging and corrosion resistance properties.
5. Long service life and high economic returns: Under normal circumstances, the lifespan of a sewage pool cover is over ten years. In contrast, metal covers have a lifespan of about five years, while wooden covers last only about three years.
