Steel Grating Plates

Primarily used for drain covers, steel structure platform plates, and step plates for steel ladders. The transverse bars are typically made of twisted square steel.

Manufacturing Method of Steel Grating Plates: Steel grating plates are made by arranging load-bearing flat steel and crossbars at a certain spacing, then welded into a solid plate using a 200-ton hydraulic resistance welding automation machine. The plates are then processed through cutting, punching, and edging, etc., to meet the customer's requirements. Spacing of Load-bearing Flat Steel: The spacing between adjacent load-bearing flat steels is commonly 30, 40, 50, and various other sizes. Spacing of Crossbars: The distance between adjacent crossbars is typically 50, 76, 80, 100, and various other sizes, which can be produced according to customer specifications and customized to meet different model steel grating plate needs.

The product is a finished item, which is deep-processed from an original plate made by welding load flat steel and crossbars at certain intervals in a longitudinal and transverse arrangement on a high-voltage resistance welding machine, followed by cutting, notching, punching, and edging processes to meet customer requirements.

Hot-dip galvanized steel grating is categorized into the following types:

1. Hot-dip galvanized steel grating, categorized by manufacturing process, includes pressure-welded hot-dip galvanized steel grating and pressure-locked hot-dip galvanized steel grating.

2. Hot-dip galvanized steel grating panels are categorized by surface shape into toothed hot-dip galvanized steel grating and flat hot-dip galvanized steel grating.

3. Type I hot-dipped galvanized steel grating and composite hot-dipped galvanized steel grating.

Identification Method:

(1) Hot-dip galvanized steel grating flat steel spacing: Differentiated by series: Series 1 is 30mm; Series 2 is 40mm; Series 3 is 60mm.

(2) Hot-dip galvanized steel grating bar spacing: Series 1 is 100mm, Series 2 is 50mm. Other specifications are available upon request.

1. Heavy-duty steel grid introduction:

Heavy-duty steel grating refers to grating with a bearing width of over 65mm and a bearing thickness of over 6mm, with crossbars typically made of flat steel or reinforced steel bars with diameters of 10mm or 12mm.

Heavy-duty steel grating is designed and manufactured for applications requiring heavy loads, suitable for airports, highways, industrial platforms, port wharfs, and other special requirement scenarios.

4. Heavy-duty steel grating can be divided into two types according to the production process: heavy-duty welded steel grating and heavy-duty locked steel grating.

A. Heavy-duty weldmesh is a type of steel grating with cross bars made of reinforcing steel, suitable for single-direction load-bearing applications.

B. Heavy-duty pressed steel grating refers to grating with flat steel bars. It is suitable for bidirectional loading, but it is significantly more expensive than welded steel grating. Generally, it is not recommended for use.

C. Surface shapes can be categorized into flat heavy-duty steel grating and toothed heavy-duty steel grating.

Due to cost considerations, we recommend using flat steel grating in most cases, while heavy-duty ribbed steel grating is suggested for applications requiring anti-slip properties, such as offshore drilling platforms.

Composite steel grating

This product is composed of steel grating with certain cross-bearing capacity and patterned boards with a sealed surface. After hot-dip galvanizing, composite steel grating may experience warping and deformation due to heat, especially with larger sizes, making leveling difficult. Please note the selection. The composite steel grating commonly uses Series 3 steel grating as the base, but Series 1 or Series 2 can also be used; patterned steel grating typically uses 3mm thick plates, but 4mm, 5mm, or 6mm plates can also be chosen. By welding steel mesh to the front or back of the composite steel grating, a double-mesh board is formed, which can prevent small items from falling out. Using double-mesh boards in grain silos, restaurants, and warehouses can prevent small animals like rats from entering.

Composite Steel Grating Installation Method: Directly weld the steel grating or tread plate to the supporting steel structure, and apply two coats of zinc-rich paint at the welding joints. Use steel grating installation clamps for assembly, which do not damage the galvanized layer and are easy to disassemble. Each set of installation clamps includes one top clamp, one bottom clamp, one M8 round head bolt, and one nut. Stainless steel installation clamps or bolt connections can be provided upon request. The installation gap for steel grating is generally 100mm. Ensure the installation is secure and reliable, and check regularly to prevent clamps from loosening or falling off. It is recommended to weld or add rubber pads to steel grating near vibration.

Platform steel grating

Platform steel grating is a widely applicable steel grating panel product, primarily used for various platforms in factories, workshops, mines, and ports. It is aesthetically pleasing, easy to install, and represents a new generation of building products, ideal for replacement and upgrade.

Platform specialty steel grating products include:

1. Kick plates (edge plates), patterned plate guards, and mounting accessories can be added around the steel grating.

2. Utilize flat steel strips with different specifications for the edge banding of steel grating panels, or use angle steel, channel steel, square tubes, etc., for the edge banding.

3. Handles and hinges can be installed on the platform steel grating panels that require frequent movement or opening.

4. Generally speaking: The welding standard for the edge of platform steel grating panels is as follows: Series 1 - weld every five panels; Series 2 - weld every four panels; Series 3 - weld every three panels. The welds are single-sided angle welds not less than 3mm in thickness, with a length of 20mm.

Stainless Steel Grating

Also known as stainless steel grating panels. There are usually two methods of production: one involves welding together stainless steel flat bars and round bars; the other is the interlocking of stainless steel flat bars. They offer excellent corrosion resistance, a clean appearance, and a very ideal decorative effect, though they are generally more expensive.

Stainless Steel Grating Categories:

It is available in flat, toothed, and I-shaped designs, with over 200 specifications and varieties. (Surface protection treatments can be applied based on different usage environments.)

Material: Generally, stainless steel grades 304, 316, 316L are used.

Manufacturing Process:

There are two types: machine welding and handcrafted. Machine welding uses a high-voltage resistance welding machine, where a robotic arm automatically places the crossbar across evenly arranged flat steel bars, welding it into the flat steel using strong electric welding power and hydraulic pressure, resulting in high-quality steel grating with strong weld points, excellent stability, and high strength. Handcrafted steel grating involves first punching holes in the flat steel, then inserting the crossbar and spot-welding it in place. There will be gaps between the crossbar and the flat steel, but each contact point is焊接, achieving equivalent melting connection with the flat steel and twisted steel, making the welds more solid and the strength slightly improved. However, the appearance is not as aesthetically pleasing as machine welding.

Surface Treatment:

After pickling and passivation, the surface appears as a matte gray-white.

b. Electrochemical polishing, resulting in a brighter surface with higher luster.

c. Products are heat-treated and polished, followed by electrochemical polishing, then chrome-plated to achieve a mirror-like finish.

Stainless Steel Grating Covers

Stainless steel channel covers, also known as stair tread plates, steel stair tread plates, or tread plates, are a type of stairboard used on platforms. They come in two installation types: welded joints and bolted joints. Welded tread plates can be directly welded onto the stair beam.

Overview

Welded fixed tread plates, directly welded to the ladder beam, without the need for additional side plates for the tread plates; relatively economical but not easily removable. Tread plates secured with bolts require thicker side plates, with holes pre-drilled on the side plates for direct bolt installation, allowing for recyclable and reusable assembly. Customers can customize according to their specific needs, with suitable steel grating panels available to create various sizes to match the corresponding staircase.

Grating panels are typically made of Q235 low-carbon steel, with a hot-dipped galvanized finish to prevent oxidation. Stainless steel can also be used. Steel grating panels offer ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, anti-slip, and explosion-proof properties.

Manufacturing Methods of Grating Plates: There are two methods, machine press welding and handcrafting. Interlocking Steel Grating: Also known as double-interlocking steel grating, it is manufactured through processes such as slotting (punching), interlocking, welding, and finishing, using plain carbon flat steel, stainless steel, brass plate, and aluminum plate of certain sizes. The interlocking steel grating combines the high strength, corrosion resistance, and maintenance-free features of ordinary steel grating, with a uniform structure that is lightweight, exquisite, natural, harmonious, and elegant. This product is widely used for drain covers, stair treads, and pond covers.

Four types of interlocking steel grating can be categorized: Classification of interlocking steel grating: Differing by insertion method and angle, it includes pressed steel grating, heavy-duty steel grating, solid steel grating, and sunshade curtain steel grating, etc.

1. Pressed Steel Grating: After cutting grooves in the bearing flat steel, the crossbar flat steel is pressed and locked into shape. Generally, the large processing height for producing standard steel grating is 100mm. The length of the steel grating is usually less than 2000mm.

2. Heavy-duty clip-on steel grating is a steel grating product formed by high-elongation steel bars and cross-bar steel bars interlocking and being pressed into shape under 1200 tons of pressure. It is suitable for high-span and high-load-bearing applications.

3. Integrated Steel Grating Panels - The load-bearing flat steel and cross-bar flat steel of the integrated steel grating panels have the same height and slot depth, which is half that of the load-bearing flat steel. The height of the steel grating does not exceed 100mm. The length of the steel grating is usually less than 2000mm.

4. Sunshade Grating: The bearing steel bars of the sunshade grating have 30° or 45° grooves, and the slot bars are formed by pressing and locking.
