Lotus Seedling

【Lotus Introduction】
Lotus FlowerA perennial floating-leaf aquatic herb. Also known as the Midday Lily, Water Celery Flower, it belongs to the Nymphaeaceae family and the genus Nymphaea. It is a beautiful ornamental plant with both flowers and leaves.Aquatic PlantsIn the scenic landscapes of parks, riversides, wetlands, and scenic areas, colorful water lilies, irises, and lythriums are planted together, offering excellent viewing value. Additionally, the roots of water lilies can absorb harmful substances like lead, mercury, and phenol from water, making them a rare aquatic purification plant. Therefore, they are frequently used in urban water purification, greening, and beautification projects.
The planting method for lotus flowers commonly involves division. Cold-resistant varieties are usually divided in March or April before they sprout in early spring. Cold-sensitive varieties require higher temperatures and water temperatures, so division should occur around mid-May. When dividing, first dig out the lotus rhizome, select those with plump new buds, cut into root segments 8-10cm long, ensuring each segment has at least one bud, and then plant them. Bury the top bud facing up into the surface soil, with the soil level even with the plant's bud eyes to prevent the lotus from floating. During the early stages of planting, the water level should not be too deep, around 30cm is sufficient to help raise water temperature; increase the water level gradually after germination.
