Its function is to bear the weight of the eaves, either directly concentrating it onto the columns or indirectly transferring it first to the lintel and then to the columns. Generally speaking, only buildings of great importance or those with commemorative significance are equipped with bracket and corbel systems.
The bracket arch evokes a mysterious and fascinating feeling. Aesthetically and structurally, it possesses a unique style.
