2. Tension Rods: Used at line turns or in areas with special requirements, these rods can withstand significant lateral and longitudinal loads. They enhance the longitudinal strength of the line, limit the scope of line accidents, and can serve as tensioning towers for construction and maintenance. They are categorized into turn tension rods and straight tension rods, which are typically H-shaped towers, arranged horizontally with added guy wires.
3. Terminal Pole: A single tower at the entrance or exit of a power plant or substation, typically utilizing a terminal pole. The characteristic of this pole is its ability to withstand significant longitudinal tension differences between the conductors and ground wires. Generally, it is a gate-type pole with horizontal conductor arrangement and additional guy wires.

1. In terms of tower lifespan and overall cost calculations, the use of high-tensile steel poles for tension towers is highly economical.
2. Steel rods occupy minimal ground space, offering an aesthetically pleasing appearance. They can accommodate the need for 35KV line installation in urban corridors.
3. The steel rod has no attachments at the base, eliminating any items that could be stolen. This prevents the theft of line equipment from compromising the operation of the line, thereby ensuring the safe operation of the line and enhancing its reliability in power supply.
4. The steel rod is slightly thicker at the base than the electric pole, but it does not require additional guy wires. When it is located in farmland, it occupies less space and has minimal impact on farmers' planting. The crowd work is relatively easier, and the construction period can be shortened, ensuring the project is completed on schedule.
5. Steel poles now, compared to electric poles, also do not require land requisition. They only incur costs for occupying the pole pit, omitting the complex land requisition procedures, and saving time.
