Pearl guava, commonly known as babao or bazi. It is a fruit tree of the Syzygium genus in the Myrtaceae family, native to Taiwan. The flesh is extremely soft, juicy, and sweet, with almost no seeds, and its flavor is reminiscent of pears and Taiwan's Daqingzao. The fruit is elliptical, ranging in color from milky green to milky white, and is attractive. It is rich in potassium, iron, carotene, and other nutrients. Babao is one of Taiwan's indigenous fruits and is considered a top-tier fruit.






The branches and twigs are long, with an open tree shape. After pruning, the ratio of fruiting branches to sprouts is high. The fruit is oval-shaped, with a length of 7.2~12.4cm and a diameter of 6~8cm.
