1. Materials used ensure the adhesion between the waterproof coating and the base layer. Do not force the construction if the base layer surface is too rough to meet the construction requirements.
2. The wall waterproofing layer uses more rigid waterproof coatings, such as Langkeji L-185, EZ610, etc.
After the waterproofing layer is applied, add a layer of cement mortar. As long as there are no hollows in the cement mortar, stick the tiles to the mortar surface.
4. When laying tiles, do not apply them from bottom to top in one go. Instead, divide the process into two to three stages. Wait for the adhesive to harden and the tiles to be securely bonded after each application before proceeding to the next stage.
5. On polymer cement waterproof coatings, when using the traditional thick-laying method, such as adhering tiles with cement mortar, the water-cement ratio should be strictly controlled, and gaps should be left without being filled prematurely to prevent the waterproof coating from being constantly soaked in water, leading to poor bonding strength. The cement mortar itself (thickness of 2~5cm) plus the weight of the tiles can exceed 20~40kg per square meter, far outweighing the load the waterproof coating can bear, inevitably causing tiles to peel off from the waterproof layer on vertical surfaces.
