Photovoltaic canopies represent a new method of power generation and are a trend for future development. The sooner they're installed, the sooner the benefits are realized. They consist primarily of the support system, battery component arrays, lighting and control inverter systems, charging device systems, and lightning protection and grounding systems. The support system includes supporting pillars, inclined beams fixed between the pillars, rafter bars connected to the beams for supporting the solar cell array, and fasteners for securing the battery component array.
