NPG is the abbreviation for Neopentylglycol, CAS NO. 126-30-7, commonly known as 2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-propanediol, or Neopentyl glycol. It is a white, hygroscopic crystalline solid primarily used in the production of polyester resins for powder coatings, unsaturated resins, polyester polyols, and environmentally friendly plasticizers.
Superior quality products:
70% Solution Color (Hazen units) ≤30
50% Solution Color (Hazen units) ≤5
Acidity Content (based on acetic acid) ≤0.01%
Moisture/% ≤0.2
Product purity ensures that downstream products possess excellent thermal stability, hydrolysis resistance, weather resistance, and chemical stability.
Used for producing unsaturated resins, polyester powder coatings, oil-free alkyd resins, polyurethane foams, plasticizers for elastomers, synthetic plasticizers, surfactants, insulating materials, printing inks, antifouling agents, synthetic aviation lubricant additives, and more. Additionally, it has applications in the industry. Neopentyl glycol is also an excellent solvent, suitable for selective separation of aromatic and cycloalkane hydrocarbons.
