Contaminants in the water settle on the stainless steel filter mesh, creating a pressure difference. The pressure difference switch monitors changes in the pressure difference between the in and out water ports. When the pressure difference reaches the set value, the electric controller sends a signal to the hydraulic control valve and drives the motor. After installation, a technician performs the tuning, setting the filter time and cleaning conversion time. Water to be treated enters the body through the inlet, and the filter starts operating normally. When the preset cleaning time is reached, the electric controller sends a signal to the hydraulic control valve and motor, triggering the following actions: the motor drives the brush to rotate and clean the filter core, while the control valve opens to drain waste. The entire cleaning process takes only a few seconds. Upon completion of the cleaning, the control valve is closed, the motor stops rotating, and the system returns to its initial state, ready to begin the next filtering process. The internal shell of the filter mainly consists of coarse mesh, fine mesh, dirt suction pipe, stainless steel brush or nozzle, seal ring, corrosion-resistant coating, and rotating shaft.

A simple filter is formed by dividing the container into upper and lower chambers using a filtering medium. The suspension is added to the upper chamber and, under pressure, passes through the filtering medium into the lower chamber as filtrate, with solid particles being retained on the surface of the filtering medium to form filter cake. As the filtering process continues, the layer of filter cake on the surface of the filtering medium gradually thickens, increasing the resistance to fluid flow through the cake layer and reducing the filtration rate. When the filter chamber is filled with filter cake or the filtration rate is too slow, stop the filtration, remove the filter cake, regenerate the filtering medium, and complete one filtration cycle.

The liquid must overcome resistance as it passes through the filter cake and medium, thus necessitating a pressure difference across the filter medium to act as the driving force for filtration. Increasing the pressure difference can accelerate the filtration process, but particles that deform under pressure are more likely to block the pores of the filter medium at high pressure differences, which can actually slow down the filtration.

Suspension liquid filtration includes three methods: filter cake filtration, deep filtration, and sieve filtration.





① Filter Cake Layer Filtration: During the initial filtration stage, the filter medium can only retain larger solid particles, while smaller particles pass through with the filtrate. After forming the initial filter cake layer, the filter cake layer plays a primary role in filtration, trapping both large and small particles, as in the case of plate and frame presses.

② Deep Filtration: Thicker filtration medium, with less solid particles in the suspension solution, and particles smaller than the pores of the filtration medium. During filtration, particles that enter are adsorbed within the pores, such as in the filtration of porous plastic tube filters and sand filters.

③ Screening: The solid particles retained by the filter are all larger than the pores of the filter medium, and the solid particles are not adsorbed internally by the filter medium, e.g., the cyclone-type filter screen removes coarse impurities from wastewater. In the actual filtration process, the three methods often occur simultaneously or sequentially.
