Track type container crane product details

Track-type container gantry craneAlso known asContainer Gantry CraneA gantry crane specifically designed for container terminals, railway transfer yards, and yards, used for loading, unloading, and stacking containers. Its metallic structure resembles a door frame, supporting two legs under the main beam, allowing it to move directly on ground tracks, with cantilever beams extending from both ends of the main beam.

The rail-mounted container crane consists of the main beam, rigid and flexible jib legs, trolley, lifting mechanism, traveling mechanism, electrical system, and operator's cabin.
The model is equipped with a telescopic container lifting device for handling various container sizes. The locking and telescoping actions of the device are operated by the driver in the control cabin. Additionally, to accommodate different stacking orientations of containers and the direction of container trailers, the lifting device can be designed with a rotating mechanism, allowing containers to rotate freely to enhance loading and unloading efficiency.
The drive control of the track-type container gantry crane can be customized to meet the user's requirements, with commonly used methods including:
(1) Standard communication with eddy current speed control braking system.
(2) AC Synchronous Motor Voltage and Speed Control System
(3) Thyristor DC constant-speed control systems and AC variable-frequency control systems, with different electrical drive control systems available for various mechanisms.
The gantry crane for container handling is operated by the driver in the cabin, using the control console. The cabin is typically suspended beneath the trolley and moves with it.
The lifting capacity of the rail-mounted container crane is approximately 20 tons for 20-foot containers, 25 tons for 30-foot containers, and 30 tons for 40-foot containers. The span is determined based on the number of container rows to be crossed, with a maximum of 60 meters. The lifting height of the rail-mounted gantry crane for container handling is determined by either stacking three containers high and passing four, or stacking four containers high and passing five, in accordance with the requirements of the container yard.
At ports and terminal areas where containers are collected and distributed, the use of rail-mounted container gantry cranes has become very widespread. This is mainly due to the following:Advantages:
1. The girder-type overhead crane for track-based container handling has a larger span, typically accommodating 8 to 15 rows of containers in the middle of the span. Alternatively, multiple lanes can be set up in the middle, allowing for better utilization of the site's space.
2. Generally speaking, overhead cranes for track-mounted container doors are equipped with various devices for intelligent control and automation, such as storage systems, retrieval systems, and positioning systems, along with high-speed mechanical designs. This significantly enhances the efficiency of the equipment.
3. Due to its electric power-driven design, the track-type container gantry crane offers certain advantages in noise reduction and waste gas emission elimination, making it an environmentally friendly equipment option.
