309S Stainless Steel
309S corresponds to the Chinese grade 06Cr23Ni13, old grade: 0Cr23Ni13, and American standard S30908 (U.S. AISI, ASTM).
309s is a variant of the low-carbon 309 stainless steel, suitable for welding applications. The lower carbon content reduces the precipitation of carbides in the heat-affected zone near the weld, which can prevent intergranular corrosion (welding attack) in stainless steel in certain environments.
Features
The 309S can withstand repeated heating below 980°C, featuring high high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance, as well as anti-carburization properties.
Usage
Application: Furnace materials (used in the construction of furnace pots for high-temperature furnaces, furnace bottom plates for heating furnaces, discharge ports for drying ovens, furnace tubes for hot-air furnaces, discharge ports for rotary kilns, furnace chambers, fireboxes, furnace bodies for high-temperature furnaces, furnace components, nozzles, combustion chambers, etc.).
Widely applied in key industries such as boilers, energy (nuclear, thermal, fuel cells), industrial furnaces, incinerators, heating furnaces, chemicals, and petrochemicals.
