Screw conveyors consist of a cylindrical housing with continuous spiral blades, which rotate along with the housing. The material added is rotated and elevated due to centrifugal and frictional forces, then slides down the spiral surface under the influence of gravity, rotating with the spiral tube to achieve forward movement of the material. This is akin to a stationary screw moving along a rotating nut, thereby accomplishing the purpose of conveying the material.
