The working process of 2SK vacuum pump and compressor and gas water separator is as follows: gas enters the vacuum pump or compressor through the pipeline through the valve, and then is discharged into the gas water separator through the guide pipe, and discharged through the exhaust pipe of the gas water separator. When used as a compressor, the gas water mixture discharged by the compressor is separated in the gas water separator, and the gas is transported to the system that needs to compress the gas through a valve, while the water remains in the gas water separator. In order to maintain a certain water level in the gas water separator, an automatic overflow switch is installed. When the water level is higher than the required level, the overflow switch opens and water overflows from the overflow pipe. When the water level is lower than the required level, the overflow switch closes and the water level in the gas water separator rises to reach the required level. The working water inside the vacuum pump or compressor is supplied by a gas water separator (tap water can also be used), and the amount of water supplied is adjusted by the valve on the water supply pipe.
The only difference between gas suction and pressure delivery systems is the internal structure of the gas water separator. When sucking gas, the pressure at the suction port is lower than atmospheric pressure, while the pressure at the exhaust port is equal to atmospheric pressure. The gas water separator only has an overflow pipe. When compressing gas, the suction port is at normal pressure (or in a vacuum state), and the exhaust port pressure is higher than one atmosphere; To ensure the pressure of the transported gas, the water level of the gas water separator is controlled by an overflow switch.
Structural Description
A vacuum pump is a single-stage, single acting water ring vacuum pump, and is also a structural form of a volumetric vacuum pump that uses water as the working medium.
The main body of a vacuum pump consists of a rotating spindle and impeller, a suction and discharge port base, suction and discharge port disks, pump rings, etc.
The rotating spindle and pump ring are installed eccentrically, and the spindle is equipped with an impeller.
When the impeller rotates, the circulating water entering the pump chamber forms a water ring that is concentric with the pump chamber and eccentric to the impeller. The water ring divides the impeller into several relatively closed spaces in the circumferential direction. As the impeller rotates, the volume of the space will change periodically. With the corresponding coordination of the fixed suction and exhaust ports, the process of suction, compression, and exhaust is completed.
The transmission of the motor and pump parts is achieved through a coupling, and the pump and motor are installed on a common base plate.

Equipment installation of 2SK water ring vacuum pump
The installation dimensions of the 2SK series two-stage water ring vacuum pump are shown in Figures 5, 6, 7, and 8.
1. Installation of 2SK water ring vacuum pump:
When the 2SK water ring vacuum pump is delivered to the installation site, if any damage is found or if it is installed 8 months after leaving the factory, it should be disassembled, inspected, and repaired before installation.
Before installation, manually rotate the coupling Lv to confirm if the pump is stuck. The 2SK-0.4 and 2SK-0.8 pumps can be checked by opening the motor cover and rotating the motor fan several times. The foundation of the 2SK water ring vacuum pump should be kept level to ensure that the pump is placed horizontally.
2. Installation of pipeline for 2SK water ring vacuum pump:
The flange connection of the 2SK water ring vacuum pump pipeline should be heated to ensure reliable sealing, especially if there is a slight looseness in the intake pipeline of the 2SK water ring vacuum pump, the predetermined vacuum degree cannot be achieved. The intake pipe near the pump must be equipped with a gate valve to be closed before parking, in order to prevent water in the pump from flowing back to the intake pipe or even the sealed container under the pressure of the exhaust pipe. Install a vacuum gauge between the intake gate valve and the pump intake to check if the pump is functioning properly at any time. A gate valve should also be installed on the water supply pipeline of the 2SK water ring vacuum pump to adjust the water supply to meet the specified requirements.
3. Installation of gas water separator for 2SK water ring vacuum pump:
The 2SK water ring vacuum pump air-water separator is placed on the foundation according to Figure 8. If it is necessary to change the installation position, attention should be paid to the connection pipeline of the separator, which should not be too long, and the transformation should not be too rapid (the distance between the connection pipeline and the pump inlet should not exceed half a meter in height, 2 meters in length, and no more than three transformations, otherwise the flow loss of water and gas in the pipeline will increase, thus increasing the pressure at the pump exhaust end, reducing flow rate and vacuum degree, and increasing power consumption.
