The materials used for pipeline anti-corrosion are directly related to the quality of pipeline anti-corrosion. Therefore, when carrying out anti-corrosion, the raw materials must be qualified, and different anti-corrosion materials require different raw materials.
1. The main raw materials used for 3PE anti-corrosion are polyethylene and polypropylene.
2. Epoxy resin anti-corrosion is mainly applied in epoxy resin composite material coatings, phenolic epoxy coatings, and polymer composite materials.
3. Epoxy coal tar anti-corrosion is mainly applied with asphalt anti-corrosion paint and polypropylene non-woven fabric.
4. Cement mortar is mainly suitable for anti-corrosion of cement mortar.
5. Cold wrapping tape refers to adhesive tape used for anti-corrosion wrapping. Cold wrapping tape generally includes polyethylene (composite) anti-corrosion tape, polypropylene reinforced fiber anti-corrosion tape, aluminum foil anti ultraviolet anti-corrosion tape, polyethylene 660 (modified asphalt) tape, double-sided adhesive anti-corrosion inner tape (this type of tape is rarely used in China, but is widely used abroad and generally exported), and epoxy coal tar anti-corrosion tape. The execution standards are SY/T0414-98 and SY/T0447-96.
6. Heat shrinkable tape is generally used for joint repair of anti-corrosion steel pipes
It is designed for anti-corrosion and insulation joint repair of buried and overhead steel pipeline welds. It is composed of radiation cross-linked polyolefin substrate and special sealing hot melt adhesive. The special sealing hot melt adhesive can form good adhesion with polyolefin substrate, steel pipe surface, and solid epoxy coating.
The characteristics of cold wrapping tape and 3PE heat shrink tape are that they are suitable for pipelines with anti-corrosion coatings made of various materials, while other methods are suitable for pipelines with anti-corrosion coatings made of the same or similar materials.
