Coagulation sedimentation tank is a type of sedimentation tank in water supply and drainage. The coagulation process is a fundamental and extremely important treatment process in industrial water and domestic sewage treatment. By adding some chemicals (usually called coagulants and coagulants) to the water, particles that are difficult to precipitate in the water can aggregate with each other to form colloids, and then combine with impurities in the water to form larger flocs. Flocculation has strong adsorption capacity, which can not only adsorb suspended solids, but also adsorb some bacteria and soluble substances. Floccules sink by adsorption, increasing in volume.
The application of coagulation sedimentation process in water treatment has a history of hundreds of years. Compared with other physical and chemical methods, it has the advantages of good effluent quality, stable and reliable process operation, economic practicality, and easy operation.
