The Laminated Sluice Gate, also known as the Laminated Sluice, Laminated Valve, or Laminated Door, consists of multiple individual sluice plates that are stacked horizontally into the door channel to form a flat water-blocking structure. The Laminated Sluice Gate has a simple structure, light weight, and requires minimal lifting force, making it easy to transport. However, due to the reliance on the weight of the plates for water tightness, the overall integrity of the water-blocking structure is poor, and it has less water tightness than steel gates, with a slightly higher leakage rate. Therefore, the Laminated Sluice Gate is suitable for temporary water blocking or maintenance purposes. The Laminated Sluice Gates are available in two types: the standard type and the type with a pre-tensioning device.
Slatted gate with pre-tensioning device, equipped with a slide track on the gate channel, each gate leaf is smoothly lowered along the track, thereby preventing misalignment of the slats. Additionally, on both sides of the upstream of the slatted gate, a pre-tensioning device is set to ensure tight contact between the slats and the gate channel, enhancing the water-sealing effect. Practice has proven that slatted gates with pre-tensioning devices significantly reduce water leakage compared to the standard type.
