The double flange limiting expansion joint is composed of main components such as the body, sealing ring, gland, and extension or reduction pipe. It enhances the original performance of the loose sleeve expansion joint by adding a limiting device, which is locked with a double nut at the maximum expansion point. The pipeline can freely expand and contract within the allowable expansion range, but once it exceeds the maximum expansion, it acts as a limiter, ensuring the safe operation of the pipeline. It is particularly suitable for connections in piping systems with vibrations or certain slopes and bends.
The advantages of the expansion joints are: high expansion range and easy and quick installation.
Features: Suitable for pipe connections with flanges at both ends.
Operation Principle: After the loose-fitting expansion joint is installed on the pipeline, the nut and elastic seal are tightened. Under the action of the nut cover, the joint is tightly pressed against the outer circumference of the pipe for sealing and connection due to the mutual obliquity. When the temperature changes, the pipe can freely expand and contract in the joint. If the foundation sinks, the pipe can tilt, ensuring a tight seal without leakage, thereby achieving automatic compensation.
