2PE anticorrosion steel pipes include spiral pipes, straight seam pipes, and seamless pipes, which are widely used in China for long-distance water transmission, oil, chemical industry, natural gas, thermal power, wastewater treatment, water sources, bridges, steel structures, and marine water transmission pile projects.
Pipe second layer PE anti-corrosion structure, first layer adhesive (AD), second layer polyethylene (PE), the two materials integrate into one, with each layer thickness identical to that of three-layer PE.
Standard: SY/T0413-2002 Technical Standard for Polyethylene Coating on Buried Steel Pipe
GB/T 23257-2009 Technical Standard for Polyethylene Coating on Buried Steel Pipe

2PE Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe
Pipe second layer PE anti-corrosion structure: First layer adhesive (AD), second layer polyethylene (PE), the two materials integrated into one, with each layer's thickness identical to that of three-layer PE.
Standard: SY/T0413-2002 Technical Standard for Polyethylene Coating on Buried Steel Pipeline
GB/T 23257-2009 Technical Standard for Polyethylene Coating on Buried Steel Pipe
3PE/2PE Corrosion-Resistant Steel Pipe (Standard/Enhanced Grade)
3PE corrosion protection typically consists of a 3-layer structure:
One coat of epoxy powder (FBE > 100um)
Double-sided Adhesive (AD) 170-250μm
Three-layer polyethylene (PE) 2.5-3.7mm
In practice, the three materials are blended together and integrated, then processed to form a firm bond with steel pipes, creating an excellent anticorrosive coating. The processing methods typically include winding and round mold wrapping.
Advantages of 3PE Corrosion-Resistant Steel Pipe
1. The 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe has excellent sealing properties, which can significantly save energy, reduce costs, and protect the environment during long-term operation.
2. Excellent corrosion resistance, quick installation, and a service life of up to 30-50 years.
3. Excellent corrosion and impact resistance at low temperatures, with a low water absorption rate for PE.
4. Offering high epoxy strength, low PE water absorption, and excellent softness of hot melt adhesive, this product boasts high anti-corrosion reliability. Its anti-corrosion features include simple manufacturing process, effective protection, and low cost, making it a universally recognized anti-corrosion method in the pipeline industry. This method is commonly used for the anti-corrosion of three-layer polyethylene (3PE) steel pipes for oil and gas applications, as well as two-layer polyethylene (2PE) steel pipes. Standard: SY/T0413-2002; DIN 30670
3PE Coating Steel Pipe Applications
1. Suitable for pipeline systems in coal mine underground drainage, spraying, positive and negative pressure ventilation, gas extraction, fire-fighting sprinkling, etc. Process water waste and return water conveying pipelines for thermal power plants.
2. Offers superior applicability for water supply pipelines in sprinkler and irrigation systems. Cable protection conduits for power, communication, and highways.
3. Suitable for water supply in high-rise buildings, heating network supply, potable water projects, gas transmission, underground water conveyance, and other pipelines. Process pipelines for oil transmission, chemical, dyeing and printing industries, conveying corrosive media.
4. Sewage treatment discharge pipes, sewage pipes, and bio-treatment pond corrosion protection projects. Agricultural irrigation pipes, deep well pipes, drainage pipes, and other network applications.
