The structure of stainless steel railings typically includes a core rod and a post, with the main rod often referred to as the responsible party. The post can also be called a vertical tube, which is used to support the main rod.
Stainless steel railing posts are fixed to the building structure and are used to support guardrails and securely hold interlayer glass, copper sheets, metal rods, steel cables, or stainless steel wire mesh. These horizontally prefabricated components bear the actual load of the railing. Posts are commonly used in building balconies, mezzanine staircases, landscape garden trusses, and safety exit protection. Before maintenance, we must first understand the causes of damage and rust on the stainless steel railing and then adopt appropriate and proper handling methods.
Operation steps and methods are as follows:
1. When using rust prevention treatment to remove liquid, a cross-sectional "test wipe" must be performed beforehand to ensure the expected cleaning effect. If the test results are satisfactory, proceed with the method for a thorough cleaning. Additionally, during the process, do not only remove rust caused by air pollution in one area; the surrounding area must also be cleaned accordingly.
After using the cleaning solution, make sure to thoroughly rinse with drinking water to clean and sanitize. Never leave any residue of the solution on the surface of the stainless steel railing, otherwise, it may lead to re-rusting.
3. When using cleaning tools such as pure cotton towels, polyester fabric foam, and soft brushes, try to clean along the vertical surfaces of the stainless steel railing. If you rotate around the railing to clean, it's not only difficult to remove the environmental pollutants and chemicals, but it may also damage the smoothness and lines of the railing's surface, compromising its unique finish.
