Vermiculite Boards Vermiculite boards are widely used internationally in various fields such as construction, shipbuilding, metallurgy, electricity, and aerospace. Specific applications include: 1. Core for fire doors; 2. High-end kitchenware and furniture; 3. Hull plates; 4. Fire escape routes and ventilation systems; 5. Commercial buildings, banks, libraries, hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues, luxury and standard residential complexes; 6. Kiln insulation; 7. Fireplace insulation; 8. Industrial insulation materials.
Vermiculite boards are free of asbestos, making this natural, green, and environmentally friendly fire-resistant material widely used in fire door fillings in the 1960s and 1970s, particularly in Australia, the United States, and Europe, known as vermiculite fire door cores.
Fire-resistant doors with vermiculite board as the core have the following advantages:
1. Flame-retardant, heat-insulating, and high-temperature resistant. Maintains its integrity after prolonged high-temperature baking.
2. Eco-friendly, as it is composed of inorganic materials, it does not contain formaldehyde, benzene, and other toxic substances. Even at high temperatures, it does not release harmful gases.
3. Vermiculite boards are lightweight fire-resistant materials. Using them for fire doors results in lighter weight, which reduces the load on the hinges, thereby minimizing wear during use, extending the lifespan of the fire doors, and saving on maintenance costs.
4. Wood fire doors made of vermiculite boards have a smoother surface and do not bubble.
5. Easy to Install. Vermiculite fire doors can be trimmed to the desired length during installation, according to the manufacturer's design, for convenient assembly.
6. Reduce factory costs.
Using vermiculite boards as the core for doors, it eliminates many labor-intensive processes from traditional techniques, reduces the storage space for various materials, and saves costs in terms of labor, processes, and site.
7. Vermiculite fire doors have a high fire rating. Doors made with our core boards have been tested overseas and exhibit a high耐火极限 (combustion resistance limit) of 4 hours.
8. Vermiculite boards have various applications, including furniture, fire-resistant walls, ceilings, fire escape routes, steel beam and pipeline wrapping, as well as lining for real fireplaces and partition walls.
