Fiberglass fire water tanks refer to water pools made from fiberglass as the raw material. Fiberglass is a plastic reinforced with glass fibers and their fabrics, which is lightweight yet rigid, non-conductive, high in mechanical strength, and resistant to corrosion. It can be used to manufacture machine parts and the shells of cars, ships, and other applications in place of steel. Fiber-reinforced plastics generally refer to unsaturated polyester, epoxy, and phenolic resin matrices reinforced with glass fibers. Plastics reinforced with glass fibers or their products are called glass fiber-reinforced plastics, or simply fiberglass. Due to the different types of resins used, there are polyester fiberglass, epoxy fiberglass, and phenolic fiberglass.
Features of Glass Reinforced Plastic Fire Water Tanks:
Glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) fire water tanks are available in two types: assembled FRP tanks and SMC composite tanks. Known for their lightweight, corrosion-free, leak-proof nature, and high water quality, these tanks are versatile, long-lasting, and have excellent thermal insulation properties. They are also aesthetically pleasing, easy to install, and simple to clean and maintain. Their adaptability makes them suitable for hotels, restaurants, schools, industrial and mining enterprises, public institutions, residential complexes, and office buildings. They are ideal storage solutions for public, fire, and industrial water use. Pools are an essential part of public water supply systems in industrial and residential settings. Currently, China predominantly uses concrete and steel plate tanks, but issues like leakage and scaling in concrete tanks, and corrosion in steel tanks, significantly impact their usability. According to on-site inspections by the Beijing Environmental Protection Bureau, 85% of China's water tank supply systems fail to meet water quality standards due to algal and rust contamination. Since the 1980s, assembled FRP tanks have been widely adopted, addressing these issues. FRP tanks offer leak-proof, non-deforming, non-polluting properties, long service life, ease of assembly, and attractive appearance. They can be customized to meet various tonnage requirements.
