Disk wood chipper, also known as disk chipper or disk slicer, is a device for producing high-quality wood chips. It is widely used in paper mills, particleboard factories, fiberboard factories, and wood chip processing bases. It can chop logs and small-diameter wood into uniform lengths with smooth cuts and even thickness, as well as process branch wood and boards. Disk wood chippers use low or high-pressure motors, with large models available in belt-driven and direct-drive options. Feeding can be either horizontal or inclined, and discharge can be top or bottom.

Disk chipper features a compact structure, reasonable layout, easy installation, convenient operation, and high processing capacity; during cutting logs, the wood chip quality is high, and the chip length can be adjusted within the specified range. Currently, our disk chipper has reached the advanced level domestically.

The disk chipper mainly consists of the base, main unit, coupling, pedestal, and motor exhaust. The main unit of the disk chipper is composed of the blade disk, upper and lower covers, feed opening, and discharge opening. The blade disk is the most worn part of the entire disk chipper. The feeding mechanism gives the disk chipper its sturdy and wear-resistant characteristics. Our blade disks are specially made with chrome-plated wear-resistant pads, while the flying knife, bottom knife, and flying knife spiral are made from special steel, significantly extending the service life of the disk wood chipper.

Disc chipper maintenance:

1. When operating, ensure the main shaft rolling bearing temperature does not exceed 65°C. If it does, change the oil immediately. If this does not help, remove the bearing, clean it with kerosene, apply lubricating oil, and then resume work.

2. If the blades become dull or chipped, they should be ground all four at once to ensure the balance of the blade disk after installation. It's also important to replace the bottom blade promptly when it becomes dull, as this can severely affect the quality of the chip.

Disk chipper maintenance:

1. The bearing housing should be lubricated with grease and changed monthly. If it operates continuously, add grease twice more, and pay attention to observation.

2. After a period of use, the belt tension of the V-belt should be re-adjusted. Press the middle of the belt with your fingers, and a drop of 6 to 10mm is recommended.

3. After each day's work, the machine should be cleaned thoroughly and checked for loose parts to extend its service life. The power section should be maintained according to the power usage manual.
